Brad was born in Saskatoon but spent the first couple of years in Outlook and area, and eventually ended up in Regina by the age of three. He is the oldest of three, with a younger sister and brother. Both are married, and his sister has given him a niece and two nephews....the newest born June 13. 2006!!!! Welcome Kallyn!)
While it is said he was generally a good kid, the only stories Taren seems to hear of his childhood are of him getting into trouble. For example he used to visit the elderly couple that lived close by. They used to leave a big tin of sweets on the bottom shelf so that Brad could get them any time he wanted them. Soon, he was eating so many sweets there that he wasn't eating at home. When his parents figured this out they threatened the toddler with his life. So the next time Brad went out to play he stood on the porch. You could see what was going through the his mind. To go, or not to go...that is the question. Well, he was unaware his parents were watching. As the story goes, he carefully looked right, he carefully looked left and then he ran as fast as his legs could carry him into the house full of sugar.
His desire to get into trouble apparently didn't stop when he was older. Brad was to show up at a event for his father who was in the middle of a campaign for his job as an MLA. Brad phoned a close family friend who was working on the campaign and told him that he landed himself in jail for drinking and driving and he think he might have killed the guy. It almost gave this man his first heart attack. The man panicked and started asking who he had talked to, worried if this got out to the press Brad's dad would lose the campaign for sure. This close family friend was about to go bail Brad out of jail and not say a word to Brad's father when Brad finally admitted he was just running a little late and he'd be at the event in 10 minutes. The family still doesn't let Brad forget that one.
Outside of playing pranks and getting into trouble, Brad played hockey, and did everything he could so he could be a lawyer when he grew up. Since high school he toyed with the idea of becoming a lawyer, or an accountant, but settled on an electrician. NFL takes up his Sundays, when Taren isn't making him do wedding stuff. A lot of his other time is taken up by rec hockey, softball, RPG games on the computer, among other little hobbies.
Despite neccessary obligations for things like wedding related, Brad is also rather excited about the wedding and has had as much to do with planning so far as Taren has. He can't wait to start this new chapter with Taren and looks forward to starting a family.
